The St Giles December Meeting White Table
After a quick meeting, members of St Giles and guests had a fantastic Christmas meal with family and friends.
Worshipful Master Colin Roberts gave humorous gifts to senior officers of the Lodge such as Last Years Diary to the IPM Michael, toy money to the treasurer Terry, a bishop's hat to the Chaplin Garry, plastic gavels to the Wardens Javaid and Wayne and a pair of milk bottle glasses to the Secretary John Waller (too many John's).
It was a lovely and fun-filled evening, rounded off with Christmas carols and a visit to the Temple by those who were interested to find out more about what we do.
Colin is pleased to announce that the raffle raised £500 for a special charity called “Super Shoes”.
Super Shoes is a charity that provides children with cancer a special personalised pair of shoes.
https://www.supershoes.org.uk/about/
“Each pair of shoes is designed specifically for a particular child or young person with a diagnosis of cancer, and hand-painted by a Super Artist to capture that child and all their favourite things: games, sports team, music, animals, colours, TV programmes. They love it; we paint it! The end product is a pair of Supershoes as unique as the child or young person that wears them. They are a constant reminder to that child of who they are, beyond their illness, challenges and treatment”.
